To lay down the groundwork for these, Blackberry also added Westbridge controls for ultra-high-speed transfers and a 16BG expandable microSD slot.

On balance, the Blackberry Pearl is best remembered as the line which gave the company its biggest traction and strongest foothold in the global market. It was offered by carriers spanning seven continents including Australia, Indonesia and Panama.
