Blackberry 8700 Repairs

When the 8700 and the 8707 came out nearly a decade ago, they were game changers. They made headlines in the business community and were the buzzwords around boardrooms and water coolers alike. These smartphones shipped out with Chiclet-styled QWERTYs rather than the sluggish sliding keyboards and flimsy styluses that were the vogue in the world of mobile computing at that time.

These earlier designs laid the groundwork for the future of styling - a broad screen and a light frame that made typing away a quick email seem all too easy. It was blindingly quick at the time of its release, with 64MB of RAM and even a screen that could project 65,000 colors.

However, the 8700 was severely hamstrung with its lack of apps and slow OS. It shipped out with only three games and had nothing but a primitive browser. Still, the 8700 is best remembered as the platform where the seeds of the Blackberry Messenger began, the one feature that has staved off certain bankruptcy for the company several times.

	LCD broken / No display
	This fault is when the screen looks like it has a ink stain, or no display at all

	This is when the display is working ok but the cover of the screen is damaged

	This is when the centre trackball or side scroller is not working properly

	The connector for the charger is either not charging the phone, or you cannot connect it to the computer

	This includes the front, chassis and battery cover (Grade A)

	This is a new front cover

	This is the side and back housing

	This is a new cover for the battery
	Liquid damage
	If the phone has been damaged by water or liquid and is now not working properly
	Software errors problems
	This is when the Blackberry is having problems with normal operation, e.g. crashing constantly
	Unlock
	This is so that you can use the Blackberry on any other network
